Marcia was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania and began taking organ lessons at age seven. She was an active member in her church choir as well as her youth group and Girl Scouts. Marcia's first job was as an organ demonstrator at a local music store where she also gave lessons. From 1972 to 1990 Marcia was married and raised two boys while frequently moving and getting her hands in music via giving music classes. In 1990 when she moved here, Marcia started her own business "Creating Stars" giving lessons in singing and piano. From 1992-2002 Marcia was the accompanist for Booth-Ficket Middle School choir working closely with the music teacher. In 1995 she became St. John's music director where she directs the adult choir, plays organ for worship service, leads the congregation on piano in hymn singing and is the accompanist for the youth choir and the Blending Hearts. In addition she also plays for weddings and memorial services. Marcia is married to fellow musician Henry Soriano.
